The granite worktop company will help explain the difference between granite and quartz worktops. On this page we will explain the differences and benefits of quartz and granite worktops.

Granite:

Quartz:
In terms of strength and durability granite worktops and quartz worktops are comparable, both heat resistant and difficult to scratch. Quartz is a very stain resistant but because stone is naturally porous granite can be susceptible to stains but this is reduced to a minimum because of the seal we apply to the worktops.

Making the choice between granite or quartz is really a matter of personal taste and in most cases comes down to what the desired finish of your kitchen is.

Traditional kitchens are usually complemented better when finished with granite worktops. Modern kitchens are more suited to quartz, however this is not to say that both granite and quartz can be used to an equally amazing effect in either.

Currently our two most popular worktops are black granite and black quartz.
